About Me

Kimberly Russell, P.T., MPT Physical Therapist & Owner

Kimberly is the owner of Axxis Physical Therapy and a dedicated Physical Therapist with over 20 years of experience. A born-and-raised New Yorker, she graduated from Warwick Valley High School before attending Villanova University in Pennsylvania. It was during a work-study rotation with the Villanova football team that Kimberly first discovered her passion for rehabilitation, working alongside trainers and therapists to help athletes return to the field.

After earning her B.S. in Biology and a minor in Psychology in 2002, Kimberly moved west to pursue her Master’s in Physical Therapy at the University of New Mexico, graduating in 2006. Throughout her career, she has practiced in diverse orthopedic outpatient settings across New Mexico, Utah, Virginia, and California. Her clinical approach is deeply rooted in enhancing mobility and flexibility through Pilates-inspired movements and specialized balance-based techniques. To provide the most comprehensive care possible, Kimberly has also pursued advanced training in Maitland, IPA, Grastin, Visceral Mobilization, and Craniosacral Therapy.

When Kimberly is not in the clinic, she is likely cheering on her family. She is a proud military spouse to her husband, Eric, a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Air Force currently stationed at Los Angeles Air Force Base, and a dedicated “motocross mom” to her 17-year-old son, Hollan. Whether she’s navigating the complexities of a patient’s recovery or the excitement of a race day, Kimberly brings a steady hand and a compassionate heart to everything she does.
